    This is an interesting piece in that I totally agree with its goals but find myself put off by its strange manipulation of facts. At around 42 seconds, the translation omits the fact that the woman speaking alludes to America's role in the creation of the Japanese constitution. The clause that prevents the Japanese from having a standing army was forced upon them by an occupying army--it seems strange to not only ignore but, by virtue of the translation, obfuscate that fact.

    This video definitely played on the strong emotions of the audience, although the message was unclear to me an American female. Obviously I do not consider myself the target audience for this video, and as such was not drawn up into the emotional fervor that I might have been, had I been the target of the message.
